WikiTraccs 1.29.11 (Prerelease)
Prerelease Evolution
1.29.2
- new: adding a way to quickly and easily update outdated, previously migrated pages
- great for delta migrations; note that this was already possible, but required more manual work
- read how: Updating Previously Migrated Pages - Quick Approach
- new: converting Handy Button macro to links
- new: migrating more attachment metadata
- attachment labels will be migrated (note: only Confluence on-premises)
- the single simple attachment comment will be migrated (the one visible in the attachments list)
- improved: when using the content ID selector to select pages to migrate, the page counts in Space Inventory and progress log files could be misleading
- Behavior before this update:
- Page Count: number of pages from the content ID selector that were actually found in Confluence
- Transformed Page Count: number of migrated pages in the target site, not necessarily restricted to the IDs given by the content ID selector
- New behavior:
- Page Count: number of page IDs given by the content ID selector, independently of whether those can be found in Confluence or not; note: duplicate IDs are still only counted once
- Transformed Page Count: number of migrated pages in the target site, filtered to the IDs given by the content ID selector
- Behavior before this update:
v1.29.2 → v1.29.7
- new: automatic renaming of raw drawio files if they have no file extension; they will now get the .drawio file extension in SharePoint
- the .drawio file extension helps users to open those files more easily, as a default program can be configured for this file extension
- new: automatic renaming of .jar files to .jar_, to allow file upload to SharePoint
- SharePoint so far blocked uploading .jar files, which did show up as Failed Transformation for affected pages
- note that a Page Refinement run is required to fix links pointing to the old .jar file
- improved: Page Refinement #152
- more broken attachment links are detected and can be fixed
- broken inline image references are detected and can be fixed (not only link, but internal IDs as well, speeding up image display)
- this blog post goes into details about what you can do to get working links after the migration: Making Sure Migrated Links Work
- improved: more feedback while target sites are being prepared
- improved [Confluence Cloud]: Cloud API v2 endpoint usage
- Atlassian is deprecating more endpoints (related to descendants and children), forcing app vendors to switch to different endpoints
- at the same time Atlassian allows longer use of the old macro body conversion endpoint, which is more stable than the new one; with this release WikiTraccs will again use this endpoint until January 2026 when the deprecation deadline approaches
- improved [Confluence Cloud]: adding retrieval of space root items that have a new content type (whiteboard, database, folder, smart link)
- Atlassian does not provide an endpoint to retrieve those new content types if they are at root level, so WikiTraccs now resorts to CQL-based search to find potential root nodes
- fix: table filter chart image was not created if the image type was jpeg (instead of png)
v1.29.7 → v1.29.8
- new: Handy Status macro conversion
v1.29.8 → v1.29.10
- new: Jira user profile links are converted to the “@-mention” format in SharePoint
v1.29.10 → v1.29.11
- improved: Page Refinement #152
- former inaccessible page and attachment links (which are marked and visible as such on the SharePoint page) can be fixed as well; the placeholder will also be removed
