Proxy Authentication
This article is a resource where you learn about working behind a proxy that requires authentication.

This article is only relevant if you are running WikiTraccs behind a proxy and the proxy requires authentication.Note: Proxy authentication is available as of WikiTraccs v1.31.10.
You’ll see that your proxy requires authentication when you see an error like this when running the Confluence connection check:

HTTP Status code 407 translates to Proxy Authentication Required
Configuring Proxy Authentication
WikiTraccs allows you to configure proxy authentication.
In the main menu of the blue WikiTraccs window, click Settings ⇒ Configure Transformation to open the Settings dialog.
In the Settings dialog, click the Proxy tab.
Choose the proxy authentication option that is right for your proxy:
- None: No authentication required
- Default credentials: Authenticates using your current Windows login
- Credentials: Set user name and password, as well as an optional domain
- note: the password is stored in cleartext in the appsettings.json file
Restart WikiTraccs after changing those settings.
