Proxy Authentication

This article is a resource where you learn about working behind a proxy that requires authentication.

Note: Proxy authentication is available as of WikiTraccs v1.31.10.

You’ll see that your proxy requires authentication when you see an error like this when running the Confluence connection check:

HTTP Status code 407 translates to Proxy Authentication Required

    Configuring Proxy Authentication

WikiTraccs allows you to configure proxy authentication.

In the main menu of the blue WikiTraccs window, click SettingsConfigure Transformation to open the Settings dialog.

In the Settings dialog, click the Proxy tab.

Choose the proxy authentication option that is right for your proxy:

    • None: No authentication required
    • Default credentials: Authenticates using your current Windows login
    • Credentials: Set user name and password, as well as an optional domain
      • note: the password is stored in cleartext in the appsettings.json file

Restart WikiTraccs after changing those settings.
